BACKGROUND:

I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and started to take care of Koi when I was 6 or 7 years old, since a small pond was built in my parents' home.

I came to Los Angeles, CA when I was 20 years old. Several years later, I started to take care of Koi again in my back yard.

I jointed ZNA SoCal Koi Club in the early 90's, and started studying and learning about Koi seriously.

About two decades later, I became a ZNA Local Certified Judge in 2010.
